Stand Tall Empower CIC -
Nature-Based Mental Fitness Events with Social Impact

Strengthening resilience through nature, connection and community
We create space for people to step away from pressure, reconnect with themselves and others, and build resilience that lasts.
Our work sits at the intersection of mental fitness, connection, and nature. Through our Pay it Forward model, Corporate Mental Fitness events help fund accessible community experiences for veterans, blue light workers, men in recovery, and men facing isolation or prolonged stress.
Empower events are delivered in collaboration with Wellbeing by SEE Events, bringing together high-quality mental fitness facilitation and professional event planning.
About Stand Tall Empower CIC
Stand Tall Empower CIC was founded to make mental fitness support more human, accessible, and grounded in real experience.
Our approach is based on:
-
Time outdoors in natural environments
-
Movement and embodied experience
-
Shared challenge and reflection
-
Connection without pressure, diagnosis, or fixing
We are not about quick wins or performance hacks.
We focus on regulation first, because resilient minds are built on regulated nervous systems.
Events are delivered through a collaborative partnership with Wellbeing by SEE Events, combining expertise in mental fitness facilitation and event delivery.
As a Community Interest Company, any surplus we generate is reinvested into running further Empower events through our Pay it Forward programme.
Corporate Empower Events
Purpose-driven mental fitness experiences for teams and organisations
Our Corporate Empower events offer a meaningful alternative to traditional corporate wellbeing days. Nature-based programmes guide teams through grounding practices, shared challenge and reflection so you leave clearer, connected and aligned.
These nature-based mental fitness experiences support:
-
Reduced stress and burnout risk
-
Stronger communication and team cohesion
-
Psychological safety and trust
-
Reflection away from targets, screens, and constant demand
They are particularly suited to:
-
Leadership teams
-
Small to medium-sized organisations
-
Male-dominated industries
-
Teams navigating pressure, change, or fatigue
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Every Corporate Mental Fitness event directly contributes to our Pay it Forward programme, funding community access to the same type of support.
This allows organisations to invest in their teams while creating visible, values-led social impact.

Frequently asked questions
Is this therapy? No. Empower events are not therapy. They are nature-based mental fitness experiences focused on regulation, connection, and resilience. Events are led by a trained therapist, and all facilitators and volunteers are trained in men’s mental health support. This ensures the space is held safely, ethically, and with appropriate understanding - without the expectations or structure of therapy.
Who are Pay it Forward events for? Pay it Forward events support veterans, blue light workers, men in recovery, and men facing isolation, burnout, or ongoing stress - groups who are often under sustained pressure and less likely to access traditional support.
Are these events men-only? Yes and No. Corporate Events are designed to appeal to those who want something different from standard Wellbeing activities and can be adapted to mixed or single-sex groups. Pay it Forward events are currently designed for men, reflecting where unmet need and barriers to engagement are highest.
What do you mean by mental fitness? Mental fitness is the ability to regulate stress, adapt to challenge, and stay connected to yourself and others over time. It supports mental health and wellbeing without requiring clinical labels.
How are Pay it Forward events funded? Pay it Forward events are funded through Corporate bookings, donations, grants, and fundraising. Corporate participation directly helps widen community access.
Where do events take place? Events are delivered in natural outdoor environments, primarily in the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, with locations selected to support accessibility and safety.

Peter
I gained a new way of taking control with the breathing exercises and the cold swim. I felt a sense of peace, abetter connection with the outdoors and tools to be able to stabilise myself internally and be more present in the moment

At the start of the day I was stuck in my own head and over-thinking things. By the end of the day, I was calm and collected and was able to be present in the day and remember to just concentrate on that moment.
